SIGNA is developing a mixed-use property across from the KaDeWe department store in Berlin that makes optimum use of the available space in the former KaDeWe car park: the plan is to create a plinth building that will extend across the entire site at Passauer Straße 1-3. A building will be erected on this plinth base along the street with a height in line with the adjacent buildings.
A twelve-floor high-rise building is planned in the centre of the site, with a height aligned with that of the KaDeWe. The roofs of the buildings will be grassed, and parts of them can be used as terraces. The property will include a five-floor public underground car park with over 400 parking spaces for KaDeWe customers.

The planned new building will have a rentable area of about 20,000 square metres for various commercial uses. Retail space is planned on the ground floor, first floor and first basement floor. The floors above are planned to be used as office space. The shops can be accessed from the street via the ground floor.
