Hans Dohrmann has been CEO of the Internetstores Group since November 2018. With an impressive track record as a serial entrepreneur, Dohrmann has successfully founded several start-ups and opened and developed new areas of business for existing companies.

One example of this was developing the in-house start-up www.m-way.ch for Swiss retail group Migros. Within five years, the company became a market leader in Swiss multichannel e-bike retail and is now a top European player in this field. In this regard, m-way set new standards for Europe’s bike retail scene.

Hans Dohrmann also served as co-founder of the tech start-up sharoo, an online platform for peer-to-peer carsharing. Sharoo became one of the world’s top three players in connected car technology and the sharing economy before being acquired and integrated by a leading automotive company.

Together with partners, Dohrmann also founded his own successful start-up in retail architecture and design and a specialised investment company for start-ups. This company focused on retail and commerce and the relevant adjacent technologies.

From 2017 to 2019, Dohrmann was a partner at a boutique management consulting firm which advises companies on digital commerce and innovation management.

Dohrmann holds a doctorate in business/commercial law and has worked in various positions (strategy, business development, portfolio management, mergers and acquisitions etc.) at leading companies. These include Linklaters, Rewe and E.ON.

In his spare time, Hans Dohrmann is a passionate freeride snowboarder, motorcyclist and gravel biker.

The acquisition by SIGNA Retail combined internetstores’ international position and online expertise with SIGNA Retail’s comprehensive retail expertise. internetstores shall maintain its autonomy and shall also act within SIGNA Retail as a technology expert and a technology hub in the multi-channel sector. By linking the various online and offline competences and channels, both partners commit themselves to a rapid development on both sides in the future.
